Introduction
Designed to work with tickets from the APP3100 entry station, the APP3400 Fee Computer provides automatic and very fast fee calculation by simply inserting the ticket into the reader mechanism. Together with the APP3100 entry station, it forms a complete parking revenue control system. Supports credit card processing for fast, convenient payment. When located at a garage exit lane, APP3400 processes monthly/access cards as a part of the APP3000 revenue and access control system, eliminating the need for additional equipment. The processed ticket is printed and electronically encoded with all necessary information for automatic garage exit and revenue auditing. APP3400 supports the industry standard Ethernet TCP/IP communication which allows seamless integration in any type of small or enterprise networks including wireless and Internet connectivity.

Functional Description

Ticket Processing
The cashier inserts the ticket in the APP3410 validator device for fast, automatic fee computation, which eliminates human error. The cashier can change the default fee rate if necessary, apply a discount validation, select payment type, add additional fees before finishing the transaction. The ticket is printed and electronically encoded with the transaction information for easy verification and auditing. In central pay mode the ticket is electronically encoded for processing by the APP3200 Exit Station. In pay at exit mode the ticket is encoded with information which prevents it from being used again.

Recalled Ticket Recognition
As a part of the APP 3000 system, the APP 3400 Fee Computer automatically recognizes all recalled tickets eliminating illegal use of back-out or stolen tickets.

Reporting
APP3400 generates an extensive array of easy to read reports for tracking all sales and lane activity:
 - Cashier daily revenue and statistical reports for unlimited number of cashiers.
 - Shift revenue and statistical reports.
 - Manager’s revenue and statistical day closeout report.
 - Summary and detailed reports for past revenue for up to 5 years back.
All revenue and statistical information is transmitted to the APP3900 server for centralized storage and reporting.

Integration
Connecting the APP3400 Fee Computer to the APP 3900 system server via Internet allows easy integration of small parking lots into a powerful centralized revenue and access control system which tremendously reduces operational and management cost.

Remote Programming
All APP3400 parameters are fully online programmable, including via secure Internet connection. This allows greater flexibility and lowers the operational and maintenance cost.

Server Capabilities
For small parking lots the APP3400 Fee Computer is capable of acting as a APP3900 system sever. The station holds the revenue and statistical data for the whole parking facility. Reporting and tracking capabilities for each garage lane. Access cards management support. Remote access connection capabilities for centralized reporting.

Image Processing and Video Monitoring
Upon reading the ticket, APP 3400 automatically retrieves the picture snapshot taken at the garage entrance for verifying the vehicle and driver information. With an optional camera installed, each transaction is mapped to a picture snapshot providing valuable information for preventing car theft. The picture snapshot is transmitted to the APP3900 server for future reporting. The camera can also be used for 24h surveillance purposes eliminating the need of costly coaxial cabling through the entire parking facility. In case of an Internet connection to the APP3900 server, the video is also transmitted over the Internet.

Access Card System Integration
At exit location APP3400 is a part of a powerful access card control system with:

• No limit for the number of cardholders or a maximum physical card number.
• All industry standard proximity card formats are supported and can coexist in a common access system.
• Anti pass back feature for the monthly parkers.
• Carpool/group parking with different restriction criteria – maximum number of vehicles in the garage, group time restriction criteria, group security access criteria, etc.
• Unlimited number of groups and number of group criteria.
• Unlimited numbers of security access levels and time restriction codes for the monthly parkers with easy setup and reporting.
