Introduction
Designed to provide automatic, cashier-less parking fee payment 24h per day, 365 days per year. Part of the APP3000 parking revenue and access control system. Supports credit card processing for fast, convenient payment. Accepts cash in notes and coins. Dispenses change in notes and coins. Meets the ADA and ANSI requirements. Heavy duty steel tamper proof design with intrusion detection alarm. The processed ticket is printed and electronically encoded with all necessary information for automatic garage exit and revenue auditing. APP3800 supports the industry standard Ethernet TCP/IP communication which allows seamless integration in any type of small or enterprise networks including wireless and Internet connectivity.

Functional Description

Ticket Processing
The patron presses the start button to initiate a transaction. APP3800 provides an animated demo with detailed operating instructions. Audio instructions are also played for customer's convenience. After reading the ticket, APP3800 shows the amount due and plays animated instructions how to deposit a payment. When the fee due is satisfied, the ticket is printed and electronically encoded with the transaction information. Change is given back to the patron if necessary. An automatic or by demand receipt is issued. In pay-on-foot mode the ticket is electronically encoded for processing by the APP3200 exit station. In pay-at-exit mode the ticket is encoded with information which prevents it from being used again; the ticket is kept inside the APP3800 for auditing.

Cash Accepting and Dispensing
APP 3800 accepts coins in 5 denominations per currency. Coin change is given in three denominations by four selfreplenishing coin hoppers for less maintenance. Invalid or damaged coins are rejected. APP3800 can accept all (or programmable set) note denominations per currency. It provides high recognition rate, four way notes acceptance and invalid or damaged notes rejection. The accepted notes are stored in a secured, lockable box with 1000 notes capacity. Note change is given in two (expandable to six) denominations by automatic notes dispenser. All notes are stored in lockable cassettes for secure transporting and fast reloading.

Recalled Ticket Recognition
As a part from the APP 3000 system the APP 3800 Pay Station automatically recognizes all recalled tickets eliminating illegal use of back out or stolen tickets.

Reporting
APP 3800 generates easy to read reports for tracking all sales and lane activity:
 - Daily revenue and statistical reports with cash balance breakdowns.
 - Summary and detailed reports for past revenue for up to 5 years back.
All revenue and statistical information is transmitted to the APP 3900 server for centralized storage and reporting.

Image Processing and Video Monitoring
With an optional camera installed, each transaction is mapped to a picture snapshot providing valuable information when needed. The picture snapshot is transmitted to the APP3900 server for future reporting. The camera can also be used for 24h surveillance purposes eliminating the need of costly coaxial cabling through the entire parking facility. In case of an Internet connection to the APP 3900 server the video is also transmitted over the Internet.

Real time speech synthesis and audio playback
APP3800 provides the patron with audio instructions during normal operation or in case of unusual events. APP3800 supports real time speech synthesis and can play text messages distributed by the APP3900 system server. This makes possible playing custom, easy programmable messages for a variety of site specific situations. APP3800 can address by name the patrons who pay for their monthly parking permit. This puts a personal touch in the overall patron's parking experience and improves the garage image.

Remote Programming
All APP3800 parameters are fully online programmable. This allows greater flexibility and lowers the operational and maintenance cost. In case of Internet connectivity to the APP3000 system, remote access eliminates the need of field trips to collect data or change the configuration.

Integration
The Ethernet TCP/IP communication allows integration in existing small or enterprise networks including wireless and Internet. Connecting the APP3800 Pay Station to the APP3900 system server via Internet allows easy integration of small parking lots into a powerful centralized revenue and access control system which tremendously reduces operational and management cost.
