Introduction
APP3900 provides full control and monitoring of the entire parking facility with installed APP3000 series of parking equipment. The server uses Linux® operating system for higher system security and independent direct control over the system resources. All data is encrypted with the encryption algorithm built in to the server software. Utilizes WEB based user interface for daily garage operation which makes it easy to integrate several parking garages at a central management location using a secure Internet connection or other type of TCP/IP connection. All management operations are performed from workstations connected to the server via secure network using 128-bit SSL encrypted protocol and utilizing secure client/server data exchange interface.

Functional Description

Web-based user interface and remote management
APP3900 provides a native web-based user interface (like in on-line banking) for all administration, management, reporting and revenue auditing. Therefore all system functionality is directly available through a secure remote connection to the system server (through modem, DSL, Wireless, etc.). This includes monitoring the garage occupancy, system alarms, lanes activities, running statistical and revenue reports, etc. Working from a remote location does not require installing any additional software – everything is done through a standard WEB interface using a web browser like Internet Explorer. This allows the garage management to be on top of operation even when far away from the office. All remote connections utilize a 128-bit SSL encryption for protecting the sensitive information.

Integration
The Ethernet TCP/IP communication allows integration in existing small or enterprise networks including wireless and Internet. Connecting the APP3900 server to Internet allows easy integration of small parking lots into a powerful centralized revenue and access control system which tremendously reduces operational and management cost. APP3900 supports Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection for secure sensitive data transfer.

Image Processing and Video Monitoring
APP3900 stores all images collected from APP3000 series equipment with installed cameras. Upon processing a ticket, the APP3400 Fee Computer automatically retrieves the picture snapshot taken at the garage entrance for verifying the vehicle and driver information. The images could be displayed in cards and tickets usage activity reports. The video data can be used for surveillance purposes eliminating the need of costly coaxial cabling through the entire parking facility. In case of an Internet connection to the APP3900 server, the surveillance video is also transmitted over the Internet.

End of day auditing
APP3900 provides the garage management with extensive array of statistical and revenue auditing reports. There is a summary daily report available which combines on one work sheet the total garage revenue with breakdowns by machines and cashiers. This makes the end of day reconciliation process fast and easy. Summary statistical reports are available as well that show the garage occupancy by day, time, garage lane, transaction type (transient, valet, monthly). These statistics help the garage management better evaluate the number of employees needed during the different hours of the day. Summary and detailed reports for the merchants validations used are available. A summary work sheet with all validations used, counts and amounts makes the merchants billing process fast and convenient. Detailed reports by merchant validation show each individual transaction with a particular validation – a useful feature in case of disputes with the merchants. The monthly parkers reporting module provides summary and detailed reports for the monthly cards activities. All unusual transactions and violations are shown separately or highlighted in the detailed activity log. Statistical reports show the garage occupancy by hour of day, vehicle type (transient, monthly, valet), duration of stay, etc.

Garage occupancy monitoring with automatic FULL mode activation and disabling the issue of regular transient tickets.
The APP3000 system keeps a continuous track of the garage occupancy. There are programmable threshold levels provided for automatic switching the garage in FULL mode; meaning the issuing of normal transient tickets is disabled until there are spaces available. In FULL mode the patron waiting in front of the APP3100 entrance station is notified with visual and voice messages that the garage is currently full and a ticket would be issued as soon as space is available. The FULL mode can be manually forced or overwritten from the APP3900 server.

End of month, year auditing
All summary reports available for daily activity and revenue auditing can be run for any desired time interval. This feature can be used for monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc. auditing. There is no limit for the number of revenue and activity records stored on the APP3900 server, therefore history reports can be run from the day the APP3900 system is put in service. Backups are performed on daily bases to ensure the system’s data integrity.

Recalled Ticket Recognition
APP3900 collects and stores all recalled tickets information eliminating illegal use of back-out or stolen tickets.
